Why Digital skills are important?

Digital skills are highly important as everything is streaming online these days,

If this question was asked 10 years back then probably nobody would have even given a thought but now in 2020 everybody literate illiterate would mind digital skills and value them as everything has become online and without internet or  virtual world nothing is working.

All age groups have their own limitation of exploring digital skills but when it comes to those youth who are starting their career have to focus on these skills very very significantly, If you are someone who is yet to or have started your career then you have some tips to habituate in your career.

You must begin from branding yourself virtually

You must have a portfolio created online

You must have high end skills which must be convincing

You must definitely pursue something more than traditional education.

There is always this joke

Employer : We are looking for someone who is of 21 with 4 years of work experience

Employee :

Well this is how the world is and now after or during the Covid-19 pandemic digital world is ruling the real world and everything has been shifted to cloud (Online)

Now Question yourself on an average if you are asked to scale your digital skills to get placed how much would you rate yourself??

1 – Not in competition

2 – Can learn and improvise

3 – Can enter the competition

4- Can be shortlisted

5- Yes you are the one who is going to be an outstanding

Now while rating yourself consider the following set of  outlines

You can rate yourself 5 only when you have

  1. Virtual portfolio or website
  2. Recognition out of your network zone
  3. Have some social proofs like any videos etc.
  4. Have worked on any real time projects

Additionally if you have basic knowledge on any digital skills like

Content writing, Blogging, Digital marketing etc. You can reach out to the employers directly and then you will be hired.

Competition was always there but scarcity has started recently, However those who come under 1,2,3, rating have already lost their jobs,

Now its your turn think of how you can improvise these skills!!
